I have archived my best recordings on xeno-canto, a superb website where anyone can contribute audio recordings from birds anywhere in the world. I have embedded some of these recordings in antpitta.com, and hopefully will add more in the future when I get some time. You can also click here to see a listing of all my recordings that are currently available on Xeno-canto for free non-commercial use.

I have used several different recordings over the years, starting with various portable minidisk recorders, then moving on to solid state digital recorders.
I am currently using an Edirol R-09HR handheld digital recorder for field recordings. My microphone is either a Sennheiser ME-67 long shotgun or ME-66 short shotgun combined with a Sennheiser K6 power module and a Shure A96F line matching transformer. The entire setup costs less than $1000 yet produces terrific recordings.
