Rufous-bellied Seedsnipe Attagis gayi simonsi Lauca National Park, Region I, Chile. A very ptarmigan-like bird, inhabiting similar high alpine habitats in the Andes. (S5)

Gray-breasted Seedsnipe Thinocorus orbignyianus ingae Laguna de los Pozuelos, Jujuy province, Argentina. Two males sitting together. It seems likely that the lower one is a young bird. (D3)

Least Seedsnipe Thinocorus rumicivorus cuneicauda Lomas de Lachay, Lima Male. (D2)
