Chilean Flamingo - Phoenicopterus chilensis

The Chilean Flamingos are the nearer ones on the far right and far left, showing no black at all in their wings and distinct pink spots on their legs. Both Andean and Puna Flamingos are also in this shot. (D3)


Andean Flamingo - Phoenicoparrus andinus

Most of these are Andean Flamingos, but there are a couple of Punas in the frame too. The Andeans show a huge amount of black in the folded wing, and have predominantly black bills. (D3)

All of these are Puna Flamingos, though many people, including SACC, still call them James's Flamingos. They show only a little black in the folded wing, and have mostly yellow bills. (D3)
